You are oceanfront at the Royal Lahaina Resort's Luau grounds on the beautiful Kaanapali Beach. The natives are preparing your dinner in the imu, (an underground stove) the traditional way of cooking. You watch in "awe" as they take the Kalua Pig (Roast Pork) out of the imu, one of your entree's tonight. You are served tropical drinks such as a Hawaiian Mai Tai or a Blue Hawaii which puts you in the Luau Mood. The delightful Luau Emcee appears on stage to inform you what you can expect for the rest of the evening.
Just as your stomach reminds you it is dinner time, your Luau host comes to your table and lets you know it is your time to help yourself to the enormous selection of food on the Luau Buffet. While eating the delicious food from the buffet, sweet Hawaiian music is heard in the background, the sun begins to set and suddenly there is a mixture of many colors throughout the sky bringing a closure to a beautiful day. The lights begin to dim and heavenly alluring music is heard.
The show is about to begin. We are greeted from the islands of Tahiti and an exciting Otea dance is performed. The drumming stops and a Lovely Tahitian Princess appears as if out of nowhere. Behind her, the colors of an awesome sunset disappears quickly and is now surrounded by the dardness of the evening night. As you watch her dance she mesmerizes you as if you can not turn away. Just then, she disappears into the darkness and the drumming begins again. As the show goes on and you are entertained with laughter, excitment and beauty, you are enchanted by teh beautiful Hawaiian Wedding Song as a beautiful hula is performed in front of a wall of water illuminated with an aray of colors. As the evening draws to an end, the sound of drums begin to prepare you for the performance of the Samoan Fire Knife dancer. He comes out and impresses you with not one but TWO Fire Knives. Just when you think it is all over, all of the men dancers come out spinning fire to your delight.
